We've connected over 150 partners to our platform to integrate virtual cards and enable secure, centralised payment. Here are just a few examples of how you might integrate virtual cards into your platform.

Corporate Travel

In the past, payment methods for corporate travel varied depending on travel category; lodge cards for air, billback for hotels, and plastic cards for incidentals. Understanding the total trip cost and reducing risk was very difficult with these disparate payment options.

Using virtual cards to pay for corporate travel is highly efficient and solves the security and reconciliation problems associated with other payment methods.

Use Create Card to generate a virtual card for corporate travel. The employee doesn't need to see the card details, making the transaction more secure.

Use Send Payment Communication to instruct our award-winning supplier messaging service Conferma Connect to send the payment communication to the hotel, in their preferred format. You can also include payment detail or instructions such as "Room Only" or "No Alcohol" to ensure compliance with your company policies.

Our platform collects rich travel data for each virtual card request and automatically matches the settled payment data. This allows our corporate customers to access enriched reporting via our web-based reporting tool, daily transaction file via FTP, or direct from the customer's card issuer.

Online Subscriptions

Virtual cards are a popular choice for Software-as-a-Service and other monthly business expense subscriptions because they keep payment details secure and optimise reconciliation.

Creating a virtual card for your subscription is easy with our APIs. You don't need to create a different virtual card each week or month; simply create a single virtual card, active for a year, and take advantage of our Advanced Card Controls to set a daily, weekly, or monthly budget, giving you complete control over your subscription payments.

Once the virtual card has been charged up to the budget, the card will not be available for further charges. Since each card is typically linked to a specific subscription, it is easy to see exactly how much has been charged each month.

If you use a monthly budget, each month you'll see an additional transaction settle against the card for reconciliation, matching against any custom data you associated to the virtual card.

Invoice Payments

Generating virtual cards to pay supplier invoices makes your reconciliation process simple. Automatically send suppliers a secure email containing the payment information and streamline your process.

Creating a fixed-limit virtual card for invoice payments is straightforward using our APIs. Automate the delivery of the payment details with Conferma Connect, and because each card is linked to a specific invoice, it's easy to reconcile the payment data.

On-The-Go Business Expenses

Rather than issue plastic corporate cards to your employees, with high fixed credit limits, or ask your employees to pay for incidentals with their personal card and go through a complicated expense process, why not issue a virtual card?

You can issue a card with a fixed credit limit and activation period for a specific trip. This allows you to control the amount of funds available to the employee and only allow them to pay for the incidentals during their trip dates. Virtual cards are also great for instantly issuing cards for specific business incidentals, removing the need for petty cash and streamlining the expenses process.

Our Digital Wallet API makes it easy to add a virtual card to Apple Pay or Google Pay directly from your own native mobile app. This eliminates the need for users to manually rekey their card data into their phone, which can be time-consuming and frustrating.

By displaying the "Add to X Wallet" button in your app, you can make the experience much smoother for your users.

In addition, our Digital Wallet API puts you in control of the secure provisioning of the card into the Digital Wallet:

  • Add cards into Apple Pay or Google Pay

  • Support step-up verification workflows

  • Manage the digital wallet token lifecycle (activate, suspend, resume and terminate)

Together we can power the future of on-the-go business expenses.

Batch Payments

You can use the Batch File Process to generate multiple deployments, and issue payment communications to suppliers with the fax and secure email capabilities of Conferma Connect.

With Conferma Connect, hotels set a preferred communication payment method that works best for their specific process. This automates the virtual card delivery and removes the need for a manual offline chargeback or lengthy payment instructions for both Travel Management Companies and Hotels.

Streamline Data Into Your ERP

Conferma receive daily settled payment data from our card issuing partners. This data is provided to Conferma in varied and complex formats, which we normalise to ensure we can display it consistently in our reporting products. To help streamline data into your platform, Conferma can provide the normalised transaction data via a daily batch file.

Our single daily transaction file includes all settled transactions from all card issuers you and your customers use. Because these transactions reflect payments as they post to the customer's account, you'll gain insight into spend ahead of the invoice from the card issuer.

As a customer account cycles, an invoice is created by the card issuer. When this occurs, Conferma can also make available a file that includes a repeat of all settled transactions associated to that invoice allowing your platform to reconcile payments.

Each transaction is matched to our unique Deployment ID and Custom Data Fields, to help you automate the flow of payment data into your ERP.

UPDATE: A new API is coming soon to allow you to access the settled transaction data automatically.
